Allegro Z6

Here's what I like about the Allegro Z6 - it's under $1000 for a zooming, tilting beam bar light.  It's strengths lie in being fast, bright, and having zoom for different looks.

Full pixel control - check!

Fast tilt - check!

Bright, and RGBW LED's for lots of color choices - check!

The Allegro Z6 is best for a beam/effects type light.  When you zoom it to it's widest it can be used for a smooth backlight wash or potentially to light a wall or cyc.  It's strength is not in lighting surfaces, though it is passable.  

The bottom line - it's the best value zooming, tilt bar with pixel control that I know of.  It's great for backlight, beamy effects, and can also light surfaces and do a pretty good job.  It can definitely have some advantages over a traditional moving wash light for some folks.
