The Torrent Beam IP is an exciting addition to the Torrent IP Series. This is an IP-65 (Outdoor Rated) 300 watt LED moving head that is meant to withstand the environmental factors due to its rugged and sleek housing. What makes this fixture unique is it’s tight 1.2º beam angle and powerful 300w LED engine which means no lamp changes ever while staying efficient. Unlike other IP-65 moving heads which can be big and heavy, the Torrent Beam IP is compact in size and weighs only 33 lbs. Equipped with an array of features such as 14 colors, 17 metal gobos, & a 16 facet prism, this will enhance any outdoor events even further while never having to worry about adding a dome or covering to protect it. This is a must have for any production/integration company that work with many outdoor venue’s.

I've had the opportunity to do a lot of testing with this light and I can tell you a few things:

1) It's bright, and cuts through the air well. I would place it at the same brightness level as many 230w lamp units.

2) It's definitely IP-65 waterproof. As part of our other website, Learn Christmas Lighting, I've put these through their paces and they've spent months sitting on my roof and working in rain and some snow!

It's definitely a great light, with a wide variety of colors, gobos, and a 16-facet prism to break up the beam. The fan noise is reasonable, and it quiets down almost to silent when you have it off for a minute.

If you're looking for a mid-size beam light (IP rated or not), this is a great buy. It performs well, and should offer a really long life on low-maintenance use since it's LED-based.
